HSBC Private Bank to set up Latin America desk
HSBC Private Bank has appointed Roberto Islas Salcedo to head up a new dedicated Latin American desk as part of its UK International platform.
The firm has also appointed Benjamin Reid as a relationship executive and both he and Salcedo will report to Charles Boulton, managing director, International.
HSBC said with Latin America one of the “most exciting growth areas” in global emerging markets it felt it appropriate to offer clients a dedicated desk servicing the region.
Salcedo joins the company from Royal Bank of Canada Wealth Management where he was head of Latin America in the British Isles.
Reid also joins from Royal Bank of Canada where he was an assistant Wealth Manager on the Latin American desk for nearly 2 years.
