Members of the Isle of Man business community this month presented to a group of 14 high net worth Chinese entrepreneurs, to raise awareness of the benefits of doing business with the island.
The showcase, hosted in London by John Shimmin, the island’s economic development minister, included presentations on wealth management, import/export, routes to capital markets, and e-business opportunities.
According to the Isle of Man Government, the event – which was initiated by director of international business development Michael Charlton – continues its strategy of forging links with the Chinese business community, and follows a trip by delegates to East Asia in October.
“This was a very good example of how Government can work closely with the island’s private sector as a team to deliver a compelling series of messages about how the Isle of Man can add value to what Chinese businesses are trying to achieve in Europe,” said Shimmin.
