Prudential Singapore has launched Prufracture Care, an insurance policy designed to cover injuries resulting from accidents sustained by its “more active customers”.

The product provides payouts for medical assistance and to lessen the impact of lifestyle readjustments in cases where there has been major or minor fractures, burns and dislocations, until the client’s recovery.

Prudential said the product will reimburse expenses for mobility aids or modifications to the home to assist in daily activities and, depending on the severity of the injury sustained, the product will provide financial support for medical treatment and other incidental expenses. If the eligible payout for a fracture or burn suffered is at least 40% of the sum assured and is from an accident which occurs while travelling on public conveyance, Prufracture Care offers double payouts.

Prudential said it designed the product specifically to cover accidental injury sustained while involved in high risk activities such as scuba diving, rock climbing, wakeboarding and other similar activities.
