Pictet adds to multi-asset wave with fund for ex-Barings trio

By International Adviser, 24 Jun 15

Pictet Asset Management has added to the growing trend of multi-asset products with the launch of the FP Pictet Multi Asset Portfolio.

Pictet Asset Management has added to the growing trend of multi-asset products with the launch of the FP Pictet Multi Asset Portfolio.

The fund will seek “equity-like” returns on a three to five-year outlook, while utilising its multi-asset facility to minimise market volatility and downside risk.

Available to UK retail investors from 25 June, the fund will be actively managed by Pictet’s multi asset team – led by Pervical Stanion and including Andrew Cole and Shaniel Ramjee – and will target investments across the bond, equity and real asset spectrums, aiming for returns of cash plus 4% per annum.

“We are delighted to launch a multi asset onshore fund aimed at UK investors,” said Stanion.

“The fund is aimed at investors who are looking for steady returns while controlling the volatility of their portfolio.”

Stanion, Cole and Ramjee arrived at Pictet in November, joining from Barings Asset Management. They have worked together on multi-asset funds since for 2001.

The Multi-Asset Portolio will be available across a range of fund platforms, including Fidelity, Hargreaves Lansdown and Transact, among others, carrying an annual management charge of 0.55%.

There will also be an E-share class exclusively available via Cofunds with an AMC of 0.275%, an offer that stands until 31 December 2015 or the fund reaches £400m of investment.

The fund seeks to deliver positive absolute returns exceeding the LIBOR GBP three-month rate over a rolling period of 12 months.
