AES wins first Dubai licence

27 Jun 11

AES International has won its first licence in Dubai

AES said it would use the company, to be named AES International, as a Dubai base in the Middle East to export B2B insurance sales solutions based on the AES network model.

“We use appointed representatives, mainly conventional international advisers and will have 30 out there. We have signed up our first client. The Middle East is a strange market with great potential, it is quite exciting,” said Sam Instone, managing director of AES.

“These people have joined us because they want better standards of professionalism. It will be run just like our AR network in the UK. AES uses standard levels of training and compliance etc.
“This is just our first foothold, next one will be in Qatar, then Bahrain,” said Instone.
