Standard Life Investments is continuing its expansion into the Asia Pacific market.

Craig Aspinall, who joins from Macquarie Global Investments, has been appointed investment director with responsibility for developing SLI’s business in Australia, working with institutional investors and consultants.

Meanwhile, Diana Ryan, who joins from AMP Capital, has been appointed client relationship manager with responsibility for supporting SLI’s business development initiatives. She will also provide client service and relationship management to clients and consultants.

Both Ryan and Aspinall will report to Simone Bouch, head of business, Australasia.

The company first opened a representative office in Australia three years ago and, last October, moved to a new office in Sydney from which it intends to continue to build its presence in the Asia Pacific region.
