Amundi hires a former special adviser to an ex-French prime minister, the TISA Exchange names an industry veteran as its chair and the Isle of Man’s Department of Enterprise appoints a chief executive to its finance agency.

Isle of Man

The Isle of Man Department for Enterprise has appointed Aidan Doherty as non-executive chair and Michael Crowe as chief executive to lead the Finance Isle of Man Executive Agency.

Finance Isle of Man is responsible for promoting and developing the island’s financial and professional services industry, ensuring its recognition as an international financial centre of excellence, in turn delivering long term sustainable economic growth for the island.

Doherty’s career in the financial services industry has spanned more than 40 years, the majority of them in the Isle of Man, having moved there in 1984.

Crowe is currently a director at Grant Thornton. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, the former president of the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce and former chair of the Isle of Man Society of Chartered Accountants.

He has spent 27 years working on the island with a wide variety of local clients and organisations of all sizes, covering all sectors of the local economy.

Amundi

Stanislas Pottier has been named chief responsible investment officer at Amundi. He was global head for sustainable development at Crédit Agricole SA from September 2011 and a member of the group’s management committee since 2017.

Prior to this, Pottier was special adviser to Michel Rocard, former prime minister and ambassador of France, for international negotiations on Arctic and Antarctic poles between 2009 and 2011.

From 2007, he was special adviser to Christine Lagarde, French minister for economy, finance, industry and employment.

In 2006, Pottier was chief of staff to then-trade minister Lagarde and deputy chief of staff to Thierry Breton, minister for economy, finance and industry.

TeX

David Moffat, executive director and chief client officer at SS&C, a global provider of investment and financial software-enabled services, has been elected as chair of TISA Exchange (TeX).

TeX, the cross-industry, not-for-profit body, is designed to facilitate the electronic transfer of wrappers and assets between fund managers, platforms, wealth managers and any firm that holds assets on behalf of investors.

Andy Burns, Aegon UK’s director of customer services and operations, and Lynzi Harrison, Old Mutual Wealth’s UK platform client services director, have also been elected as non-executive directors.

Moffat has spent 30 years in the asset management and fund administration sectors and also has experience working with UK and European regulators, tax authorities and trade bodies.

He’s worked with TeX previously, having taken a role as deputy chair on the TeX Working Group and has been part of TeX Steerco.
