Brewin reshuffles Edinburgh team, Schroders appoints from Blackrock and Singapore financial adviser PIAS hires chief executive from Prudential.

Brewin Dolphin

Brewin Dolphin has promoted Marc Wilkinson as joint head of the firm’s office in Edinburgh and regional director for Scotland and the north of England. Wilkinson has been in the latter position since 2014 and with Brewin Dolphin since 1993.

Jonathan Tweedie, the outgoing head of Edinburgh, has been promoted to regional director. Tweedie will assume responsibility for a number of Brewin Dolphin’s offices in England, ranging from Truro in the south-west to Nottingham in the East Midlands.

The firm has also promoted Donald Brown from senior divisional director to head of private clients in Edinburgh. Brown joins Wilkinson and Lynne Lamont – who became head of Brewin’s Scottish charity and institutional service in 2009 – on the office leadership team.

Schroders

Schroders has strengthened its fixed income team with the hire of a credit specialist Sriram Reddy from Blackrock.

As an investment director focused on Schroders credit strategies, he will report to Jonathan Harris, investment director for pan-European and global credit strategies.

Based in London, Reddy will liaise between clients and Schroders’ investment team, helping to design purpose-built credit strategies that meet the future investment challenges faced by clients worldwide.

He spent over a decade at Blackrock, joining what was originally Barclays Global Investors in 2005, where he has built experience in portfolio management and institutional sales.

Professional Investment Advisory Services

Lionel King has been appointed chief executive officer and director of Professional Investment Advisory Services, Singapore.

King has 27 years of experience in the financial services industry. He joins PIAS following over five years at Prudential Singapore, where he was responsible for putting in place the legal, risk and compliance management structure to support the growth of the organisation.

BNP Paribas

BNP Paribas Asset Management has appointed Melanie Aimer to the newly-created role of global head of client experience within its client marketing office.

Aimer joined from BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking, where her most recent role was as global head of digital for employees.  She was previously global head of client development, firstly within CIB’s Fixed Income division and then within Global Markets.  She joined BNP Paribas from Citi, where she held various business development roles in both the UK and South Africa.

Based in London, she is responsible for client satisfaction, insight, analytics and reporting, as well as market intelligence, supporting the needs of key clients across all their interactions with BNPP AM.

Aimer reports to Roger Miners, chief marketing officer.
