Newly appointed head of Asia Pacific to relocate from London office

Employee-owned investment firm Brown Advisory has established a permanent presence in Singapore.

The US-headquartered business has named Walter Beckett, a sales director who has been based in Brown Advisory’s London office since 2015, as head of Asia Pacific.

He has been tasked with leading the firm’s expansion in the region.

Brown Advisory services private clients and institutions in 37 countries and is responsible for around $71bn (£54bn, €63bn) of client assets.

It has marketed its assets in Asia Pacific for many years and manages more than $700m on behalf of clients based there.

In addition to its London and Singapore offices, the company has 10 locations across the US.
