The top 20 private banks in the sector, which Scorpio Partnership has called the mega wealth managers, experienced a 10.9% growth in AUM during the year.

Collectively they manage 76% of the total industry AUM and their growth in assets compared with a more muted 8.7% across the industry as a whole.

Net inflows played a part in these players’ success, but the strength of their investment performance was also crucial.
