Man launches fettered Ucits multi-manager offering

7 Sep 11

Man Group has launched the Man GLG Multi-Strategy Fund.

Man Group has launched the Man GLG Multi-Strategy Fund.

The fund will give investors access to a portfolio of between 10 and 15 Ucits funds run at Man, which include GLG and AHL strategies as well as Man Systemic Strategies, Man Convertibles and Ore Hill strategies.

Luke Ellis, CIO at Man’s multi-manager division, will lead a team in allocating between the strategies and grouping them into three pools: equity long/short strategies (50-80%), risk seeking strategies (10-35%) and diversifying strategies (5-25%).

Man says it has already raised over €100m in commitments for the fund, which has a minimum investment of €1,000.

The offering follows the launch of IP 220 GLG earlier this year, a structured product combining AHL and GLG discretionary strategies.
