PEOPLE MOVES: American Century Investments, ASI, Raymond James

Asset manager bolsters Asia intermediary operation, while Aberdeen Standard makes Middle East changes

American Century Investments

The global asset manager has hired Vicky Yick as managing director of its Asia intermediary business.

She will initially help serve the private banking markets in the region.

Yick joined American Century from Value Partners, where she led its private banking distribution business.

Prior to that, she served at BNP Paribas as an associate director of sales, equities and commodity derivatives.

Aberdeen Standard Investments

The investment firm has made some changes to its emerging market debt (EMD) team in the Middle East.

To help deliver on the firm’s growth intentions; Kathy Collins, investment manager of EMD, has relocated to Abu Dhabi from London.

Collins focuses on corporate bonds within ASI’s 51-strong EMD team.

Further; Peter Dunbar, director of business development, and Nouf Alsagar, manager of business development, have joined the team in Abu Dhabi.

Raymond James

Harry Burnham has joined the wealth firm from investment firm JM Finn to open an independent branch based in London.

He will create a personal discretionary investment management service.

Beginning his career at Williams de Broë in 1996, Burnham transferred to Brewin Dolphin in 2000.

After 13 years, he moved to Ashcourt Rowan Asset Management which was acquired by Towry Asset Management, before joining JM Finn in 2016.

Tilney

The UK wealth manager has bolstered its team in Birmingham with the hire of Mike Divers as director of investment management.

Divers has 19 years’ experience in the industry.

He joins Tilney from Brooks Macdonald, where he worked for 10 years as a senior investment director and head of office for the Midlands.

Carey Olsen

Offshore law firm has appointed counsel Chris Duncan to its trusts and private wealth practice.

Prior to joining Carey Olsen, Duncan had been at Mourant for the past seven years, working in both its litigation and international trusts and private client teams.

Sanne

The global provider of private client services has named Paloma Gonzalez as director in Madrid.

She has 19 years of industry experience.

Gonzalez joins from Citco, where she worked for more than 12 years heading up the Madrid office.
