Today we focus on Bowmoor and Fairlight Capital. At the II Lat Am Forum 2024 event we have a session from Fairlight Capital who are presenting one of their key investment propositions 
which comes from fund specialists Bowmoor.
We speak to Fairlight Capital’s Alex Pay, pictured left, outlines opportunities with The Bowmoor Global Alpha mutual fund ahead of the event.
Q: Can you give us an advance snippet of what will you be speaking to delegates about at the event?
A: The Bowmoor Global Alpha mutual Fund. It is a traditional trend following strategy which has an 11-year track record, using pure maths to double an investors money within every 3-5 years. YTD 30%+. The strategy is systemic, repeatable, and robust, only investing in the largest, most liquid macro markets in the world.
Q: Tell us about your organisation/s? Ie what you do and key areas that you do business etc?
A: We at Fairlight, are an international placement agent offering high performing non correlated investments.
We began in the industry raising funds for model portfolios for London based discretionary investment managers, and noticed the funds that they were buying were simply not available overseas where the choice was limited. Bowmoor Global Alpha is a tremendous example of this.
Q: What makes your company stand you from the rest?
A: Bowmoor as a trend following fund in the overseas market is unique for the reasons stated above. There are no others available to this market.
However, against other trend followers Bowmoor is unique because it invests in 21 markets as opposed to competitors which can invest into 60+.
And Bowmoor uses 4 classical algorithms as opposed to competitors which usually use 1. This means that Bowmoor has 4 ways to search for trend signals over a smaller basket, which means, when there is a trend, it generates more sustained performance over time.
