PEOPLE MOVES: Manulife, Kingswood, JO Hambro

Hong Kong and Macau CEO named by insurer, with a double hire for wealth manager’s board

Manulife

The international financial advice and insurance provider has promoted Damien Green to chief executive of its Hong Kong and Macau business.

He will take on the top job on 1 January 2020.

He was previously chief strategy and transformation officer for Asia at the firm, since he joined in December 2018.

Kingswood

Lindsey McMurray and Howard Garland are now part of the wealth management company’s board.

Both work for independent alternative asset manager Pollen Street Capital, which participated in an £80m ($106.8m, €95.9m)  fundraising drive by Kingswood.

McMurray founded Pollen Street in 2013 and is currently the managing partner and chairman of the investment committee.

Garland is a partner at the asset management firm focusing on investment opportunities in financial services businesses.

JO Hambro Capital Management

The active asset manager has recruited a team of four to lead its newly-rolled out Global Equity Impact strategy, which will be run through its affiliate Regnan.

Tim Crockford, senior fund manager, Moshin Ahmad, Maxime Le Floch and Maxine Wille will be based in JO Hmabro’s London office.

They previously managed the Hermes Impact Opportunity Equity Fund, which Crockford helped introduce in December 2017.

Stonehage Fleming

Partner Michael Maslinski will be retiring from Stonehage Fleming at the end of the year, after being involved in the business for over 20 years.

He started as a consultant in 1998 and became a partner when he formally joined the firm in 2011.

Sanne

Martin Scott has been appointed head of client services, Guernsey for the global provider of alternative asset and administration services.

He will be based in Sanne’s Guernsey office and will focus on growing its international offering across multi-jurisdictional platforms.

Before joining, Scott was a director at International Administration Group in the Channel Island.

Dentons

The Sipps and Ssas provider and administrator has named Kyle Dale regional sales manager for Scotland.

He joins from @Sipp where he spent eight years and as most recently head of sales.
