Ex-Punter Southall Wealth advisers set up Birmingham IFA firm

By Robbie Lawther, 6 Oct 21

Founders have over 50 years’ experience in the financial services industry

Birmingham-based IFA firm Colmore Partners has launched to offer financial advice services to clients between the Midlands city and London.

It was founded by Richard Meek and Wendy Fellows, who were both previously financial planners at Punter Southall Wealth. They have over 50 years’ experience in the financial services industry.

Meek is managing director, while Fellows has taken the role of director.

Colmore Partners employs a team of seven people and is recruiting to bring the team up to 10.

According to the firm’s website, Colmore Partners has entered into a deal with Punter Southall Wealth to deal with the clients they served during the time at the company.

Colmore Partners is now an appointed representative of Schroders’ subsidiary Best Practice IFA Group.

‘Attract new advisers’

Meek said: “We’re really excited about our opportunity to grow the business and attract new advisers who have, perhaps, not enjoyed being part of the race to consolidation that has occurred in our industry.

“As well as this we have already commenced bringing on the next generation of advisers and our first team member will be going through the Personal Finance Society planner apprentice programme.

“We have worked hard to created a compelling proposition backed by market leading technology, allowing us to scale.”
