Pension fintech firm partners with financial planning business

By Robbie Lawther, 31 May 22

100,000 people every month in the UK are planning for their retirement by searching on Google

Advice firm Origen Financial Services has joined forces with Edinburgh fintech and pensions calculator Guiide to help savers and schemes with product choices for retirement.

The partnership will help Origen Financial Services offer pension savers retirement modelling tools, guidance and ongoing tracking support.

Guiide said currently around 100,000 people in the UK are using search engine giant Google for help on pension planning each and every month.

Kevin Hollister, founder of Guiide, said: “Our sole aim has always been to improve as many retirement outcomes as possible and work with those that share this aim. The advice gap is clear and needs addressing.”

Michael Morris, director of proposition and marketing at Origen Financial Services, said: “The first step in planning for retirement is just that – having a plan. Unfortunately, the reality is that many savers are just not that engaged in how their pension is going to help meet their retirement goals.

“By sharing the Guiide journey, we can help savers to check whether they are on track for the future, and for those that need some more help we can support them with advice.”
