Global insurance broker sets up Germany operation

By Robbie Lawther, 22 Nov 22

To expand its healthcare offering for expats

France-headquartered April Group is accelerating its international expansion by creating Germany-based April International.

The entity will help April provide more support to its expat German policyholders and the insurance brokers that advise them.

Cologne-based April International offers its network of partner brokers a range of international health insurance solutions for German expats – whatever their destination and length of stay, and for both individuals and companies.

Isabelle Moins, chief executive of April International in Europe, said: “Today’s expatriates are settling in their host countries for longer, and are more acutely aware of issues relating to the quality of their healthcare cover. In parallel, host countries are strengthening their insurance regulatory framework.

“This combination of factors has prompted us to accelerate our international development, so we can continue to offer close support to our customers and the brokers that advise them. Opening our German subsidiary is the first step of this push.”
