aes international becomes plc

20 Jul 12

AES International has restructured as a UK-headquartered public limited company, with a number of integrated financial services companies operating beneath it.

AES International has restructured as a UK-headquartered public limited company, with a number of integrated financial services companies operating beneath it.

Chief financial officer Pippa Miller, said the decision to create the umbrella company, AES International Global plc, is part of the firm’s drive to promote professionalism within the financial advice industry.

“The new structure further reflects the strength and dependability we offer our clients and advisers. Our clients in particular appreciate working with an adviser who is backed by a stable company with clear and transparent structures and processes,” said Miller.

“This is yet another step in our evolution towards positive change and our efforts to drive an industry into a profession.”

The group now consists of several companies broadly split into financial advisory, wealth management, custody and insurance services.

The entities are:

  • AES Financial Services Ltd – authorised and regulated by the UK Financial Services Authority
  • AES Investment Services Ltd
  • AES International SA – a member of ARIF, a self regulatory body recognised by FINMA and the Swiss Federal State
  • AES Middle East Insurance Broker LLC – licensed by the Ministry of Economy, United Arab Emirates
