mclaren to creechurch as it launches advisory

7 Jan 13

Creechurch Capital has named Linda McLaren to the new post of business development manager of its new consultancy operation, Creechurch Advisory Services, as it looks to expand into international markets.

Creechurch Capital has named Linda McLaren to the new post of business development manager of its new consultancy operation, Creechurch Advisory Services, as it looks to expand into international markets.

Based on the Isle of Man, Creechurch was founded in 2010  by its current CEO, John Greenwood, and other investors with the intention of bringing boutique discretionary fund management services to the island.

McLaren is to remain in Sussex, which has served as her base most recently in her role as business development manager for Mauritius-based VAM Funds, where she was responsible for growing the company’s Asian business. However, prior to 2010, she worked at various times for the Isle of Man-based operations of Standard Bank and Royal Skandia Life Assurance.

At Creechurch, McLaren’s duties will include supporting the imminent launch of a “niche residential property fund” and marketing it to the international investment market through a series of events.

She will also be responsible for helping to  distribute the self-invested personal pension schemes, qualifying recognised overseas pension schemes and qualifying non-UK pension schemes of AML Global, an Isle of Man financial products provider for which Creechurch is the independent investment manager.

Track record

As reported, prior to launching Creechurch, Greenwood had been chief executive of  Thomas Miller Investments IOM.

Greenwood said McLaren brought a “remarkable track record” to Creechurch,  and noted that her expertise would “ideally complement our business objectives for 2013, which are… to build on” the company’s 2012 growth and investment performance.
