Investment manager T. Rowe Price has become the latest company to bolster its presence in northern Europe, with the appointment of a representative who will focus on Sweden.

The company has appointed Selina Pattyranie as a client relationship manager for northern Europe. She will report to Jan Eggertsen, head of client relationship management, northern Europe and will work closely with Thomas Berglund, also a client relationship manager for northern Europe.

Pattyranie will be responsible for developing the company’s institutional and third party relationships in the Nordics, with a specific focus on Sweden. She joins the firm from Fidelity Worldwide Investments.

T. Rowe Price is the latest in a series of asset managers to expand into the Nordic region in recent months. So far this year Threadneedle has announced plans to establish an office in Stockholm, while Standard Life Investments has signed a deal with a local bank to distribute its Global Absolute Return Strategy in the country.

Eggertsen said the appointment reflected the company’s “commitment to providing the highest level of service to our existing clients and prospects as we continue to grow our business in this important region”.
