ALC Health has launched a global travel insurance plan designed specifically for use by EU residents

The medical insurance provider said customers will have a choice of two core plans, each covering a range of benefits including medical expenses, missed connections, trip cancellations, personal belongings and legal expenses, with the option to add golf and winter sports packages.

The "Prima Travel" plans come with the option of either single (up to 100 days) or multiple trips and policyholders will be able to choose from three geographical areas to suit their travel plans. Both plans also include, as standard, travel cover between any two homes in Europe.

Andrew Apps, sales & marketing director at ALC Health said: “Our new travel plans have been designed for those who are looking for comprehensive cover at an affordable price and unlike many travel plans, ALC’s Prima Travel plan is available to anyone living in any EU member state, making it an ideal option for the increasing number of expatriates who may have a local medical insurance policy but need protection when they travel abroad.”
