Castle Trust launches multi-jurisdictional Rops

By Kirsten Hastings, 22 Feb 17

Gibraltar-based Castle Trust Group has launched the Centurion Retirement Plan featuring recognised overseas pension schemes (Rops) in Gibraltar and Malta that allow free switching between the schemes and jurisdictions to suit clients’ changing needs.

Gibraltar-based Castle Trust Group has launched the Centurion Retirement Plan featuring recognised overseas pension schemes (Rops) in Gibraltar and Malta that allow free switching between the schemes and jurisdictions to suit clients’ changing needs.

The Centurion Retirement Plan is targeted at clients with existing pension funds in excess of £100,000 ($124,452, €117,783) and has a number of investment options that can be tailored to suit clients’ risk appetites.

The fees charged will depend on the investment option chosen, starting from £450 for a simplified ‘Silver’ Rops.

“Although the number of clients who have switched jurisdictions over the past few years is minimal, having the flexibility to accommodate possible future client needs makes perfect sense,” Castle Trust’s chairman, Steven Knight said.

Alan Reynolds, Castle Trust’s Rops director added: “We have received numerous requests from financial advisers wanting us to launch a multi-jurisdictional [Rops] so I’m pleased that we are finally able to offer this solution for their clients.

“Having one product that clients can move between as circumstances dictate makes it easy for them to understand and easy for us manage.”
