mam funds drops midas and acuim names

12 Dec 12

MAM Funds is to rebrand a number of its funds using the Miton name in a bit to “unify and simplify” its existing range.

MAM Funds is to rebrand a number of its funds using the Miton name in a bit to “unify and simplify” its existing range.

The changes will mean both its Acuim and Midas fund names will no longer exist, with those funds now falling under the Miton name.

Specifically, the Acuim UK Multi Cap Income Fund, which was launched last October, will be called the CF Miton UK Multi Cap Income Fund from 14 December. The CF Midas Balanced Growth Fund will become the CF Miton Diversified Growth Fund and the CF Midas Balanced Income Fund the CF Miton Distribution Fund – both changes are due to come into force on 31 December, subject to FSA approval.

In October, the CF Miton Select Assets Fund changed its name to the CF Miton Worldwide Opportunities Fund and shortly, the CF Miton Arcturus Fund will change to CF Miton Total Return Fund.

In addition, the Midas Capital Partners Limited regulated subsidiary, under which the Midas and Acuim funds operate, will become Miton Capital Partners Limited from 14 December 2012.

Graham Hooper, distribution director, MAM Funds plc said: “As we continue to grow and develop, we believe that clarity and simplicity are key to our continued progress and success. By moving to a single, unified retail brand and clarifying fund names, we believe it will make it clearer for both our intermediary and end customers.”
