Advice ‘consortium’ buys Aussie wealth manager

By Robbie Lawther, 29 Jun 21

It is the group’s eighth deal globally

Focus Financial Partners subsidiary Connectus Wealth Advisers has agreed to acquire George Ferizis Group for an undisclosed sum.

The firm will join Connectus and the transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2021, subject to customary closing conditions.

George Ferizis Group is a wealth management and accounting firm located in Bankstown, New South Wales.

It provides a range of wealth management services, including financial planning, investment management and lending solutions, as well as accounting and tax compliance services, business structuring and advice.

Eight

Rajini Kodialam, co-founder and chief operating officer of Focus Financial said: “As the fifth firm to join Connectus since it entered the Australian market late last year, and Connectus’ eighth firm globally, Ferizis is highly respected for its specialised expertise and has a strong track record of growth and exceptional client service.

“It will offer Connectus meaningful depth in its tax and accounting capabilities, while expanding its presence in the Sydney metropolitan area.”

US-based Connectus is a “global consortium” of client-centric advisers that deliver wealth management advice through “access to expanded services, shared resources and best practices”.

The firm is part of Focus Financial, which is a partnership of independent, fiduciary wealth management firms in the US.
