Advice firm M&A spree hits a baker’s dozen

By Cristian Angeloni, 10 Sep 20

As it adds £58m in AUA to its West Midlands regional hub

Independent Wealth Partners UK (IWP) has Beyond Financial, based in Solihull in the West Midlands.

It will join IWP’s Warwickshire regional hub Alexander Grace.

This marks the financial advisory firm’s 13th M&A deal.

Beyond Financial director Tony O’Driscoll will remain at the company and continue to lead the team of paraplanners and administrators.

The terms of the M&A deal were not disclosed, but Beyond Financial currently has assets under administration (AUA) of £58m ($75.7m, €64.2m).

Growth plans

O’Driscoll said: “Our business is built on helping people achieve and maintain their desired lifestyle, so clients are always at the centre of everything we do. This is why Alexander Grace was such a good fit for us.

“Combined with the central support that comes from being part of IWP I am excited to see continued growth at Beyond Financial as well as the benefits for our existing clients.”

Neil Padget, chief executive of Alexander Grace, added: “This acquisition represents a great first step in our plans for growth, building IWP’s presence and reputation in the West Midlands.”

IWP previously told International Adviser it plans to have around 50 offices all over the UK by 2021.
