David Stearn has founded Affinity Private Wealth alongside his former team at Fairbarin Private Bank.

David Stearn has founded Affinity Private Wealth alongside his former team at Fairbarin Private Bank.

Fairbairn’s head of private banking, David Stearn, and chief investment officer Russell Waite have set up Affinity Private Wealth alongside Justin Thomas, managing director of Fairbairn Trust Limited and private bankers Ben Stott and Julia Warrander. Between them they will be offering individuals in the UK and Channel Islands investment and trust services.

Stearn describes Affinity as being “in the set-up phase” though the group has left Fairbairn and the new company is already regulated by the Jersey Financial Services Commission.

“Affinity is a private investment and wealth planning company helping families and individuals preserve and enhance their assets for themselves or across generations,” he added. “We manage investments, providing the necessary wealth and tax structures to meet clients’ specific needs incorporating the use of trusts and companies when appropriate.”
