M&G has appointed Micaela Forelli as retail director of global banks relationship management.

Based in London and reporting to Jonathan Willcocks, M&G retail managing director global sales, Forelli will be responsible for developing senior-level relationships with global banks and leveraging those relationships across M&G’s geographical distribution network.

She joins M&G from Fidelity International in Milan, where she spent two years first as director of key accounts and then as wholesale sales director. Prior to joining Fidelity, Forelli was a member of M&G’s Italian sales team as director of sales.

Willcocks said: “As our business and aspirations grow, and our larger clients increasingly become cross-border in nature, it is becoming ever more important to take a helicopter view of the industry’s important strategic and powerful distributors, such as the banking channel.”
