three of the best asia pacific ex japan funds

Picked by Morningstar OBSR investment research analyst Lena Tsymbaluk, these three funds have managed to outperform in a highly competitive market.

Tsymbaluk explains that after strong results in 2012, Asia ex-Japan equities, as with other emerging market stocks, have been disappointing performers this year. For the year to date to the end of August, the MSCI AC Asia ex Japan index has fallen by 5.46% in US dollar terms, while the MSCI World index for developed country stocks has returned 11.71%.
