Atlas Wealth Group hires Patrick Canion as head of advice for Switzerland

By Mark Battersby, 27 Feb 25

He will focus on Australians residing in or relocating to Switzerland

Australia headquartered Atlas Wealth Group has appointed Patrick Canion as its head of advice for Switzerland.

With an extensive background in financial services and a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by Australian expatriates, Canion (pictured) will focus on enhancing its commitment to delivering tailored financial solutions to Australians residing in or relocating to Switzerland.

His career in advisory, financial and wealth planning spans several decades, including roles as independent wealth adviser and business mentor, performance coach at Verse Wealth and director of the Australian Swiss Chamber of Commerce, and the head of its Geneva Chapter.

As the head of advice for Switzerland, he will be instrumental in guiding Australian expatriates through the complexities of financial management in a foreign landscape.

Brett Evans, managing director, EMEA region commented: “With clients in over 50 countries and managing assets exceeding $325 million, our firm is dedicated to offering comprehensive solutions that address the diverse financial needs of our clientele and that of the Australian expat community.

“Patrick’s addition to our team underscores our commitment to expanding our expertise and resources in regions with significant Australian expat communities, such as Switzerland.”

James Ridley, managing director for the APAC region said: “We are confident that Patrick’s experience and insights will be invaluable to our clients, empowering them to achieve their financial goals whilst living abroad.”

Canion said: “As an Aussie expat living in Switzerland myself, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to adjust to different rules and jurisdictions.

“I’m excited to join the Atlas team and use my knowledge and experience to help Australian expats in Switzerland align their money goals with their life and career ambitions and make the most of their time overseas”.
