By International Adviser, 6 Aug 15

The firm has appointed Kelly Ng as a director as it looks to expand its coverage of private banking and wealth managers in Asia.

Ng joined the firm from Permal Singapore, where he was vice president responsible for business development for South Asian markets.

He has 18 years of experience in the asset management and banking industry and has also previously worked for Citibank in Singapore in various business development and marketing roles.

Ng is based in Singapore and reports to Terence Lam, head of sales and marketing for Asia.

“We look forward to working with him to strengthen our coverage of private banks at a time when demand for asset management services in the region is growing rapidly,” said Lam.

In Asia, the firm has offices in Hong Kong, Beijing, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo as well as joint ventures in Shanghai, Seoul and Mumbai.

In January, the firm received a Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor (QFII) license for its joint venture business with Shanghai Pudong Development Bank.
