Ayliffe starts his new role on 1 November after a period of gardening leave from another trust corporate and fund administration group, Capita Asset Services, where he latterly focused on business development from its Singapore office.
His brief entails building service lines for Bedell Trust and Singapore Trust Company in the Asian region, working alongside the managing director of Singapore Trust Company, Rudy Tan.
He will also liaise with Michael Richardson, executive chairman of Bedell Trust, who has led the expansion of Bedell Trust’s services in Asia for the past five years.
Ayliffe said it was an exciting time in the development of the group, and that he would “take advantage of the wider range of business opportunities in Asia, not just in Singapore, but also for the wider Bedell Trust Group in Jersey, Guernsey, London, Dublin and Mauritius”.
