BMO GAM hires Giannelli to head Italy sales team

17 Nov 15

BMO Global Asset Management has snagged Invesco’s Giampaolo Giannelli to spearhead its distribution team in Italy.

Giannelli previously worked as head of Italian Professional Investors at Invesco Asset Management where he was also responsible for the Greek market across both retail and wholesale clients.

Prior to this, Giannelli held roles across the Italian wholesale and retail markets as sales director at Fidelity International.

At BMO, he will responsible for distributing the firm’s products and strategies across Italy for both wholesale and institutional clients.

Full range

“We are pleased to welcome someone with Giampaolo’s expertise to BMO Global Asset Management, as we continue our expansion across Europe,” said Georg Kyd-Rebenburg, head of European wholesale distribution.

“It is great to be able to announce an addition to our European distribution team for another key market for the business.

“We are looking forward to working with Giampaolo to be able to offer our full range of capabilities and strategies to investors in Italy.”

BMO has 27 offices in 17 countries around the world, and from the end of July saw assets under management totalling $244bn (£160bn, €229bn).
