He takes over the fund from its current manager Richard Halle, who will remain manager of the M&G European Strategic Value Fund.
Cliff was previously a European equity manager at Threadneedle, where he worked for six years and more recently worked at Liontrust-owned Occam as head of European Equities.
In his new role, which is subject to regulatory approval, Cliff will work closely with Stuart Rhodes who manages M&G’s Global Dividend Fund.

Since inception in 2008, both the Pan European Dividend Fund and European Strategic Value Fund have delivered top-quartile performance under the stewardship of Halle.
