Coutts Asia has named three executives to senior roles in its Singapore-based regional operations, in response to what it said was the growth and momentum of the business there.

Joining Coutts Asia next week as executive director and head of new product development and client solutions is Edouard Hoepffner, who was described by the company as bringing to the company experience in the funds, alternatives and derivatives product areas. Having started his career at Societe Generale Asset Management, Hoepffner has also worked in the global markets businesses of Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch and Daiwa Capital Markets.

Also starting with Coutts Asia’s Singapore office next week is Elaine Ngim, whose title will be director and head of fixed income. An Asian Fixed Income specialist with more than 15 years of experience in the Asian markets, she comes to Coutts from Clariden Leu’s Singapore office.

Kieran Calder, meanwhile, who comes to Coutts Asia later this month from Macquarie Capital Securities in Kuala Lumpur, is joining Coutts as director and head of equities.  A qualified Chartered Financial Analyst, he will also be based in Singapore.

Ian Ewart, head of Product, Services & Marketing at Coutts, said the appointments reflected Coutts’s “ambitious growth agenda in Asia”.
Coutts, which is based in London, is the wealth management division of Royal Bank of Scotland Group, and looks after clients out of more than 40 offices globally.
