Retirement trends: The Twelve Days of Pensions

Embracing the festive season, Fidelity International presents to you “The Twelve Days of Pensions 2015”, outlining key retirement trends gleaned from customers calling its contact centre between July and November 2015.

Richard Parkin (not pictured above), head of retirement at Fidelity International, said: “The nature of the pension freedoms and how people use them will continue to change and evolve as we go on. What is clear though is that the flexibility to take what you want, when you want it is giving people the freedom to use their retirement savings for things that are important to them.

“We are hoping the New Year will bring more positive change for pension savers with clearer incentives and more affordable advice models. Put those together with pension freedom and we may finally end up with a pension system that makes people want to save for retirement.”
