Evelyn Partners adds sixth advice firm to succession programme

By Cristian Angeloni, 11 Aug 22

Deal will see four members of staff join the wealth management group

Buckinghamshire-based financial advice business 2hWealthcare will join Evelyn Partners’ succession programme.

2hWealthcare managing partner Steve Wilson, as well as a financial planner and two support staff will join the wealth management group.

The advice firm was set up more than 20 years ago and provides financial planning and investment advice to individual and corporate clients.

Richard Dawes, head of strategic partnerships at Evelyn Partners, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Steve and his team to the group as part of our succession programme. This agreement means that their clients will continue to receive a high-quality, personalised service with the support and resources of the group and ability to access the additional range of expertise we can provide such as investment management and tax advice.

“We are continuing to see considerable interest in our succession programme as advisers approaching retirement look to provide a new home for their staff and clients. With our scheme, clients benefit from the investments we have made in our proposition and technology.”

Growth of the scheme

The scheme was set up in 2021 to give advisers nearing retirement the opportunity to migrate clients and staff to a long-term home.

2hWealthcare is the sixth company to sign up to Evelyn’s succession programme. The other five include Equilibrium Financial Consultancy, Explore Wealth Management, FP Solutions, Capital Risk Management and MP2 Financial.

But the wealth group’s succession programme is unlikely to stop at the UK, as Evelyn recently told International Adviser it might roll out an international version of the scheme as well.
