Funds to watch: Europe ex UK equity sector newcomers

Morningstar selects its top 10 newcomers in the Europe ex UK equity sector, according to senior analyst Muna Abu-Habsa.
Many of the newcomers are small in size, with four funds with less than $40m. Investors should also be aware that a one-year time frame is a short period to assess fund performance.
The next three funds have been selected by Morningstar as being among the main ones from the previous table to watch.
The first is Standard Life Investment’s Continental European Equity Income fund.
This fund is managed by Will James, who has run the UK-domiciled version of this fund (rated Bronze by Morningstar) since April 2009.
James has been involved in developing this strategy since the start and has made good use of the resources available to him at Standard Life.
All team members contribute actively to idea generation through their sector specialties.
