Global wealth firm unveils client liaison office in Cyprus

By Robbie Lawther, 24 May 21

It will become the country’s expat financial advice hub post-Brexit

Blacktower Financial Management Group has opened its client liaison office in Limassol, Cyprus.

Having established its first presence on the island back in 2019, Blacktower’s newly established office will work hand-in-hand with the already existing Cyprus operations centre to provide wealth management solutions for local expats.

The office will be overseen by former Sovereign International director Steve Cassily.

It will “become [Cyprus’] expat financial advice hub post-Brexit”, the firm said.

John Westwood, founder and group managing director at Blacktower, said: “We are delighted to enhance Blacktower’s presence in Cyprus with this new client liaison office, where Steve and his team are working exceptionally hard to bring first class wealth management advice to local clientele.

“Our business has grown exponentially in the last year and I am very excited to see the positive impacts of this latest development.”

In January 2021, Blacktower reported record assets under advice of $2bn (£1.47bn, €1.65bn) and a 30% increase in its advisory network membership in 2020.
