Goldman Sachs AM’s Orr talks income in an adverse environment

By Will Grahame-Clarke, 11 Apr 18

Global diversification outside of traditional assets is the key to generating income in an environment of historically low interest rates, increased market volatility and relatively expensive equity markets, according to Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s Jonathon Orr.

Speaking at International Adviser’s March 2018 Dubai Multi-Asset event, Orr spoke about the Goldman Sachs Global Income Builder Portfolio to an audience of financial advisers.

According to Orr, making better use of additional sources of income has the potential to offer higher yields than traditional fixed income investments.

Goldman Sachs Asset Management employs 2,000 investment professionals based in more than 30 locations globally and manages more than $1.2trn (£870bn, €1trn).
