Hawksmoor Investment Management has promoted head of fund management Ben Conway (pictured) to chief investment officer and chair of the firm’s investment committee.

Conway first joined the wealth manager in July 2010, and has worked on the fund management team since 2011. He currently heads up the Hawksmoor Fund Managers funds business and has co-managed the firm’s Vanbrugh, Distribution and Global Opportunities funds since January 2014.

Conway will remain a named fund manager on the Hawksmoor funds, as well as as head of Hawksmoor Fund Managers. As part of the move, the firm’s research team will report to Conway.

In a year-end update by parent company Hurst Point Group, the firm also named Alan Durrant as group investment director.

For the year to the end of 2023, Hurst Point’s investment management business had approximately £5bn assets under management.
