HSBC Private Bank continues to build UK-based MENA team

27 Jun 11

HSBC has made a further hire to its London-based Middle East and North Africa private banking team.

HSBC has made a further hire to its London-based Middle East and North Africa private banking team.

Fatima El Ouarti joins as a director to the bank’s Egyptian team and will report to Fouad Batshon, head of Egypt for the MENA team.

El Ouarti has worked in private banking for over ten years, most recently at Goldman Sachs where she was a relationship manager focusing on the Egyptian market. Before this El Ouarti worked at Barclays Bank as an associate director for Egypt.

The appointment is the latest in a series of new hires to HSBC Private Bank’s London-based MENA team. In November last year Hossam Al Saady was appointed as head of the Saudi Arabia team and a month before Anthony Hingley and Hicham Najem joined as directors in HSBC Private Bank’s Investment Advisory Group to the MENA team.
