ING has launched its global investment platform – OneInvestments – in Romania.
OneInvestments, which is already live in the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy, unites ING’s investment capabilities on one global technology platform, replacing multiple local investment systems with a single framework.
OneInvestments is designed to support ING’s three global investment propositions: Wealth Hub, which supports new investors as they start their investment journey; Brokerage, which provides clients with direct access to financial markets; and Managed Solutions, including discretionary portfolio management, advisory services and private markets.
ING said the platform allows the bank to offer a consistent investment experience while addressing local regulatory and tax requirements.
The Romanian offering will provide clients with direct access to stocks and ETFs listed on major European and domestic exchanges through a fully digital and self-directed investment experience.
Anneka Treon, global head of private banking, wealth management and investments, said: “With OneInvestments, we are combining international scale with local relevance. By building once and deploying across markets, we can innovate faster, improve the client experience and make investing more accessible to millions of clients.
“The rollout of investment propositions across several countries, including our brokerage launch in Romania, reflects how OneInvestments is supporting the expansion of our investment offering across markets and helping us build a scalable investment platform for the future”.
