Iveagh launches six risk-rated global funds

27 Jun 11

Iveagh has launched six multi-asset funds for managers John Ricciardi and CChris Wyllie.

Iveagh has launched six multi-asset funds for managers John Ricciardi and CChris Wyllie.

The Ucit III-compliant Dublin-domiciled Iveagh Core Portfolios will offer investors a choice of risk parameters from the Iveagh Cautious Portfolio at risk level three to the Adventurous Portfolio at risk level seven. The risk parameters are set using Towers Watson’s CAP:Link asset model, used by institutional investors pension funds and insurers.

In addition to the five core portfolios, which follow the same asset allocation strategy as the £242m Iveagh Wealth Fund launched in September 2008, Iveagh is launching an income option.

The Iveagh Income Portfolio, which sits at risk level six, will offer the same broad portfolio diversification.

Ricciardi, lead fund manager of the Iveagh Wealth Fund and Iveagh Core Portfolios said: “This is a revolution in risk-rated funds because the process recognises that over time a fund’s returns will be a function of the risk an investor is prepared to take.

“We are offering risk-rated funds with an in-built wealth management service. Our dynamic asset allocation process enhances returns by lowering the risk allocation in anticipation of falling markets, preserving capital and any market gains and allowing the funds to return to their full risk allocations from a higher base.”
