Liontrust expands European distribution via Allfunds Bank

By Kirsten Hastings, 6 Sep 16

Fund management group Liontrust has made six of its global fund (GF) range available on European open architecture mutual fund platform, Allfunds Bank.

Fund management group Liontrust has made six of its global fund (GF) range available on European open architecture mutual fund platform, Allfunds Bank.

Domiciled in Ireland, two of the products added to the Allfunds platform are long/short Ucits, Liontrust GF European Strategic Equity and Liontrust GF Global Strategic Equity.

Also available are the Liontrust GF Global Water & Agriculture, Liontrust GF Asia Income, Liontrust GF Global Income, and the flagship Liontrust GF Special Situations funds.

Targeting European growth

Headquartered in London and with a branch office in Luxembourg, Liontrust distributes its Irish funds to the wholesale market across continental Europe, focusing on Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the Benelux countries.

Adding the funds to Allfunds Bank is intended to boost Liontrust’s international distribution, taking advantage of the strength of the platform in markets across continental Europe and beyond.

Distribution expansion

Liontrust’s co-head of international sales James Beddall said: “Adding our funds to Allfunds is a very important step in expanding our distribution across continental Europe because of the widespread use of the platform by the wholesale market.

“Given where we are in the economic and market cycle, we are seeing particular interest in our two long/short Ucits funds, Liontrust GF European Strategic Equity and Liontrust GF Global Strategic Equity.”

Borja Largo, global head of fund groups at Allfunds Bank, said: “We are very pleased to have another leading asset manager such as Liontrust on our platform, reinforcing our current fund offering and matching the interest of many investors and financial distributors on high quality products.”
