Lombard International Assurance has opened a representative office in Paris as part of its ongoing plans to further develop its cross-border presence in multiple markets around the world.

The new representative office is operated by Lombard Intermediation Services, a wholly owned distribution company of Lombard International Assurance based in Luxembourg.

This would “deepen relationships” with its distribution partners, typically private banks, family offices and wealth planners, it said in a statement, adding that a team dedicated to the French market is now in place in Paris, Luxembourg and Geneva.

The Paris office is managed by Régis Gaston-Breton, head of domestic French market, and Pierre-Alix Jean, relationship manager France.

Zulmiro Da Costa and Julien Martin-Rosset, both senior relationship managers, are based in Luxembourg and Geneva respectively.

Overall responsibility for the French market lies with Luca Bertacchi, regional director ccntral & southern Europe, based in Luxembourg.

Axel Hörger, chief executive for Europe, said: “We are very pleased to be opening a representative office in Paris to further consolidate our presence in the French market and to create stronger relationships with our key distribution partners. The Paris opening represents a strong opportunity for us in the wealth management space in France and supports our overall global expansion strategy.”
