Manulife Singapore has appointed a chief product officer and chief marketing officer as it looks to “align leadership responsibilities with key areas of focus” in order to support its growth plans.

Carlos Vazquez has been appointed as chief product officer and will oversee product management and pricing.

He has 20 years of global experience and has worked at Manulife for 10 years, where he has held senior roles in product development, pricing and risk management. He was previously chief product officer at Manulife Indonesia.

Wendy Walker will serve as chief marketing officer where she will oversee marketing, branding, customer centricity, communications and analytics. She will be responsible for driving brand recognition and customer engagement.

She was previously chief growth officer, Asia Pacific at Mindshare.

On the appointments, Naveed Irshad, chief executive at Manulife Singapore, said: “We have ambitious plans ahead and assembling a world-class team with the right skills to take our business forward is essential.”

In May, Manulife Singapore launched Manulink Enrich, a regular prermium investment-linked plan designed to help clients grow their wealth by investing 100% of its premium from the opening of the policy.
