Matthew Smalley to leave TallRock Capital

By Robbie Lawther, 24 Aug 23

He is stepping away from advising

After completing a milestone of providing wealth management and financial advisory services in Singapore and Asia for more than 25 years, Matthew Smalley is stepping away from advising, International Adviser can exclusively reveal.

His last role will be managing partner with TallRock Capital in Singapore.

He was brought in to help the firm in its recent sales advisory recruitment drive and to achieve its short term assets under management (AuM) target of hitting over $500m (£393m, €459m) during 2023.

Throughout his 25 years, Smalley worked as the sales director at IFS for a number of years in Singapore. He then joined AAM Advisory in 2018, where he worked as vice president of wealth management.

Smalley told IA he is now looking to focus on new business development and consultancy opportunities for the asset management and financial services industries across the UK, Europe and Asia, as businesses look for growth/AuM expansion out of their domestic markets and into international and advisory markets.
