Middle East visit for Luxembourg royal

The Crown Prince of Luxembourg is preparing to visit Bahrain and Dubai next week in a bid to encourage greater investment from UAE fund managers into Luxembourg-domiciled funds.

The Crown Prince of Luxembourg is preparing to visit Bahrain and Dubai next week in a bid to encourage greater investment from UAE fund managers into Luxembourg-domiciled funds.

The Crown Prince of Luxembourg is preparing to visit Bahrain and Dubai next week in a bid to encourage greater investment from UAE fund managers into Luxembourg-domiciled funds.
 

Prince Guillaume will open the visit with a presentation in Bahrain on Monday 11 January, followed by a presentation in Dubai on Tuesday.
 

In addition to the prince, Luxembourg minister of finance, Luc Frieden, will also be presenting to delegates, while there will also be presentations from Luxembourg Bankers’ Association chairman Jean Meyer and Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry chairman Claude Kremer.
 

The visit comes after a tax treaty aimed avoiding double taxation of companies doing business in both the UAE and Luxembourg took effect on 1 January.
