Mirea appoints head of EMEA sales

27 Jun 11

Mirae Asset Global Investments has appointed Elliott Berman as head of sales for the EMEA region.

Mirae Asset Global Investments has appointed Elliott Berman as head of sales for the EMEA region.

Berman will report to managing director Myung Joo Park and will be responsible for continuing to market Mirea’s range of Sicav funds to European, middle-eastern and African investors.

He joined Mirea’s UK team in August 2008 as senior manager, European distribution. Prior to this he was at Morley Fund management where he worked from 2002, most recently as sales manager for Northern Europe responsible for new business development in Nordics, Benelux and France covering both retail and institutional clients.

“Elliot has played an important role in the success of setting up sales activities for Mirae Asset in Europe,” said Park.

“We are seeing increased interest in our funds from European investors and we are in a prime position with our emerging markets-focused Sicav funds now authorised for distribution across five countries in Europe, with a further two to be confirmed very shortly."
