Multi-asset emerging market fund from Barings

7 Sep 11

Barings has launched an emerging market fund to be run by Percival Stanion’s multi-asset team.

Barings has launched an emerging market fund to be run by Percival Stanion's multi-asset team.

The Baring Dynamic Emerging Markets Fund will invest across emerging market equities, bonds, currencies, indirect exposure to commodities, derivatives, money market instruments and/or cash. Over the long term, its stated aim is to provide emerging market equity-like returns with less risk.

The Dublin-based Oeic is managed by Percival Stanion, head of Barings’ multi-asset team, and Toby Nangle, who as a team have been running similar dynamic asset allocation strategies since 2002. They are able to allocate away from emerging markets if they need to control the fund’s volatility and turn to developed market bonds, alternatives and cash to provide capital protection.

It has a 5% initial charge and a 5% annual management fee with a minimum investment of $2,500, $5,000 or €3,500.
